Registration Now Open for Louisville Triple Crown of Running
(Louisville, Kentucky (September 1, 2011)) Registration is now open for the 2012 Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM (LTCOR) presented by Novo Nordisk. The official website, www.louisvilletriplecrown.com, is available for experienced and novices alike to register for all three or any of the individual events in the popular road race series.
The 2012 race series dates are: Anthem 5K Fitness Classic 5K - March 3, 2012
Rodes City Run 10K - March 17, 2012
Papa John’s 10 Miler - March 31, 2012
About the Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM
The Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM, which consists of three road races of varying distances, has a long-established partnership of generosity with the Crusade for Children. In 2011 nearly 30,000 runners participated in all three races, leading to a record attendance for each event. As a result, a record donation of $160,243 was made to the WHAS Crusade for Children, nearly a 20% increase over 2010. The Triple Crown series is proud to be ranked 4th of all civic organizations that donated to the 2011 Crusade.
About the Crusade for Children
The WHAS Crusade for Children, Inc., established in 1954 by WHAS-TV, raises money for agencies, schools and hospitals to better the lives of special needs children. In its first 58 years, the Crusade has raised more than $143 million.
Thanks to generous contributions of goods and services, the Crusade is able to return 100 percent of all donations to organizations that serve special needs children in all 120 Kentucky counties and more than 50 southern Indiana counties.
