Giving Back to the Communities We Serve This Holiday Season
December 26, 2018
Bettering the communities we serve is core to who we are at Papa John’s. During the holiday season, our franchisees are not only working hard to give our customers great-tasting pizza, but they are taking a moment to reflect and give back. Whether it’s patients in the hospital or those protecting our streets, Papa John’s is giving people a reason to smile.
Here are some examples of how Papa John’s stores in Colorado are working hard to give back to their communities.
Adams County, Colorado: A local Papa John’s donated 150 pizzas to feed 400 police officer volunteers attending Operation Freebird, an event focused on giving back to those less fortunate where each family that attends receives everything they need for a holiday meal. Attendees are also given the opportunity to find out more information about medical, dental, grooming, job services and public assistance.
Denver, Colorado: Local franchisees have partnered with radio station 98.5 KYGO to donate and deliver pizza to members of the community throughout the month of December. To support KYGO’s Christmas Crusade for Children, a program designed to enable city, state police and sheriff department personnel to bring the joy of Christmas to underprivileged children, Papa John’s donated 50 pizzas over seven deliveries to fuel law enforcement volunteers in their meaningful work. Franchisees are also donating 10 pizzas to volunteers raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help end the fight with childhood cancer.
Aurora, Colorado: A local Papa John’s store donated 20 pizzas to the Children’s Hospital Colorado holiday outreach program that gives kids and their families a warm meal so they can feel more at home for the holidays.
Denver, Colorado: A local Papa John’s supported local broadcast station KMGH-TV’s annual holiday toy drive at local Walmart’s in the area by serving pizza to volunteers.
These are just a couple of examples of how local Papa John’s people are giving back to their communities this year. Across the country, our franchisees are working hard to help those in need, demonstrating the true meaning of “Better Together.”
