FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Louisville Triple Crown of Running Brings Text and Social Media Messaging to the Derby City

(Louisville, Kentucky (January 24, 2012)The Louisville Triple Crown of Running℠ (LTCOR) presented by Novo Nordisk understands that live runner tracking and social media messaging is rapidly becoming the standard in the running industry.  Race participants want to connect with their colleagues, friends and family to share their excitement and pride in accomplishing a goal.  The LTCOR is proud to be the first running event in the area to provide that service, joining such other elite events as the Disney Marathon, Army 10 Miler and the L.A. Marathon.

Gault Race Management, long-time partner with the LTCOR, is bringing XAct Text and Social Media Messaging to the three-race series. Runner's times will be communicated at the finish line to anyone who signs up for the service, allowing friends and family to share the excitement and cheer their runner at the end.

"With XAct, runners times are collected and communicated through four media:  Text (SMS), Email, Facebook and Twitter," says Anne Gault with the race management team.  "All messages feature the race name, runner name, time at location, pace and projected finish time. We are excited to bring this new innovation in timing to the LTCOR team in Louisville!"  "

The 2012 race series dates are:
Anthem 5K Fitness Classic 5K - March 3, 2012
Rodes City Run 10K - March 17, 2012
Papa John's 10 Miler - March 31, 2012

Registration for all three or any individual event in the popular road race series continues at www.louisvilletriplecrown.com.

The Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM, which consists of three road races of varying distances, has a long-established partnership of generosity with the Crusade for Children.   In 2011 nearly 30,000 runners participated in all three races, leading to a record attendance for each event.  As a result, a record donation of $160,243 was made to the WHAS Crusade for Children, nearly a 20% increase over 2010. The Triple Crown series is proud to be ranked 4th of all civic organizations that donated to the 2011 Crusade.  For more information, visit www.whascrusade.org.
