The wheelchair race begins at 8:00 AM The starting cannon will be fired at 8:05 AM to officially start the race for runners and walkers.

How do I register for the Louisville Triple Crown of Running^SM?

You may register for the Triple Crown online, by mail or in person. Please visit www.louisvilletriplecrown.com to register online or for more information about mail-in or walk-in entries.

Triple Crown mail-in registrations must be postmarked by February 23, 2009.

Walk-in registrations are also due on February 23, 2009.

Online entries must be received by midnight ET on February 28, 2009.

After February 28, 2008, you may still participate in the Louisville Triple Crown of Running^SM. However, you must register for each race individually.

How do I register for the Papa John's 10 Miler?

What if I miss the March 30th and/or April 4th registration deadlines?

Don't worry, you can still register for the Papa John's 10 Miler. Late registration will take place on April 10, 2009 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Papa John's 10 Miler Expo presented by the YMCA of Greater Louisville at the Brown and Williamson Club of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Late Registration fee is $35. You may also register on race day between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM Race Day registration fee is $50.

What are the entry fees for the Papa John's 10 Miler?

• Early Registration Fee: $20
  To qualify for the early registration fee, online entries must be received by midnight ET on April 4, 2009; mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 30, 2009; walk-in entries must be dropped off by March 30, 2009.

Where do I pick up my race packet?

Race packets will be available at the Papa John's 10 Miler Expo on Friday, April 10, 2009 between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM in the Brown & Williamson Club of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. You may also pick up your race packet on race morning between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium near the Gate 4 ticket window (south side of the concourse). Packets will not be mailed under any circumstance.

What is the ChronoTrack Timing System and how does it work?

The Papa John's 10 Miler continues to offer the latest in race timing technology, the ChronoTrack Timing System, for 2009.

The ChronoTrack Timing System allows for the use of disposable tags called D-Tags. The D-Tag is easy to attach to your shoe and is far lighter and less intrusive than other timing tags and chips. Once the D-Tag is attached to your shoe, you will quickly forget that it is even there. A disposable tag eliminates the need for you, the athlete, to worry about turning your chip in after the race.

The ChronoTrack Timing System will be distributed with your race number at the Late Registration/Packet Pickup on April 10th and on Race Day. Race Timing and Runners Services are performed by Gault Race Management.

Do I need a qualifying time to be eligible for the Papa John's 10 Miler?

No. However, runners and walkers have only 3 hours to complete the course. The course officially closes at 11:00 AM.

Athletes requesting a seeded position must meet qualifying time requirements and must provide proof of race times. Please see the Race Seeding page for more information.

Can spectators watch the finish of the race?

Yes. However, spectators are NOT allowed on the field of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Those wishing to watch the finish should be seated in the stands at the stadium. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE EXCEPT RACE PARTICIPANTS AND OFFICIALS ARE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD. This helps to ensure the safety of race participants.

Where should I park on race day?

Complimentary parking may be available in the South Lot behind Papa John's Cardinal Stadium (Green lots A, B & C). Please note: If you park inside the stadium (Red Lots), you may not be able to leave the parking area until after the race is complete (after 11:00 AM) and the roads are opened. The racecourse includes Floyd Street where all stadium (Red Lot) parking enters and exits. Please check the General Info page of this website often for updates on parking options. In addition, a flyer with more detailed parking options will be included in participants' race packets.

Will there be water along the racecourse?

Yes, and plenty of it! Again this year, Dasani will be available at the Start! Plus, Pure Tap water (courtesy of the Louisville Water Company) will be provided at miles 2, 4, 6, 8 and at the Finish. An isotonic beverage will be available in the Food Tent (located on the grassy area behind the Football Complex/Johnny Unitas Museum).

Will split times be given along the racecourse?

Yes. Mile Markers and Trinity High School Cross Country Team split callers will also be positioned at every mile.

Will there be restroom facilities available?

Yes. Restrooms on the north side of the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will be open both before and after the race. In addition, portable toilets will be placed near the starting line, as well as near the entrance to Iroquois Park.
