Training
Papa Johns assists franchisees by providing
training and development solutions that solve
business needs. We also assist with new product
and equipment deployments as well as the development
of trainers and training systems. We will facilitate
training, group discussions and developmental
activities, and provide comprehensive training
programs that consist of classroom education and
on-the-job training in a certified training facility.
Restaurant
Openings
Papa Johns provides all the assistance our
franchisees need to ensure smooth and successful
restaurant openings. Our development team helps
franchisees determine the ideal site for their
restaurants, working with them to review market
trade areas and site criteria. Once the proper
site has been selected and approved, they will
help franchisees through the build-out of the
restaurant and ordering of equipment. Because
of volume pricing, Papa Johns provides franchisees
with the best pricing possible on equipment and
food.
Operations
The International Regional Directors provide complete
consulting support to international franchise
groups. Their focus is to work with each franchisee
to create business strategies and tactics that
improve the organizations operations, marketing,
people development, and market penetration. Assistance
with training and opening of the first two restaurants
will be provided. The International Ops team will
be the communication link between the franchisee
and Papa Johns corporate.
Food
and Supply Chain
In each of our international markets, Papa Johns
strives to source food products and supplies in-country
whenever possible. We have developed numerous
partnerships with suppliers in each country, ensuring
that our international franchisees receive the
highest-quality ingredients and supplies available
at the best possible prices.
International franchisees have several options
for obtaining fresh pizza dough: They may use
an approved third-party bakery for dough production
needs; dough can be produced by the franchisee
at a back of store facility; or a licensed commissary
can be built and run by the franchisee for dough
production and distribution.
Marketing
Papa Johns provides an experienced international
marketing team for effective planning and development
of marketing programs in the field. We also offer
assistance in new market menu creation, long-term
strategic planning, grand opening planning and
many other marketing programs and functions.
Information
Services
Papa Johns Information Services (IS.) department
offers a wealth of technological resources and
knowledge to our international franchise family.
Papa Johns restaurant technology solution,
the Papa Johns PROFIT SystemTM, is used
in our restaurants worldwide, providing a state-of-the-art
pizzeria management system. The system is flexible
enough to meet the legal and operational needs
of our international operators and provides a
standard platform for Papa Johns to effectively
utilize future advances in technology.
Our IS. team provides installation, training and
support services for the PROFIT SystemTM. The
Papa Johns Help Desk is dedicated to supporting
our restaurant systems and is staffed 24 hours
a day, seven days a week. We also provide certification
programs to give you the knowledge and tools to
create your own installation and support teams.
Quality
Management
Papa Johns Quality Management function is
made up of three teams: Research and Development
(R&D); Quality Assurance (QA); and Quality
Control (QC).
- The R&D team is focused
on developing quality products worldwide. This
includes developing ways to make existing products
better, developing new suppliers to meet our
international growth, and developing new products
that are on strategy with the Papa Johns
brand.
- The QA team is responsible
for maintaining that product quality worldwide.
This is accomplished through our supplier audit
program and monthly compliance program, where
chemical and bake evaluations are performed
in our corporate lab for adherence to specification.
- The QC team is on-site
in our dough manufacturing facilities. They
ensure all incoming raw ingredients and dough
produced meet our specifications before it is
shipped to our restaurants.
